MUAY THAI

Muay Thai (meaning Thai boxing) is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with  clinching techniques (a form of stand up wrestling). It is known as the "art of eight limbs" as it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, and shins.

Muay Thai is one of the most effective striking martial arts as evidenced by its growing profile and popularity alongside the growth of mixed martial arts. Our Muay Thai program offers state of the art equipment with a highly skills and talented instructor.

Leigh started competing in amateur Muay Thai fights while living in New York and was undefeated at 5-0, winning the WKA 140 lbs North American Amateur Championship in 2010. Feeling the need to go deeper into the sport, Leigh packed up and moved to Thailand to train and fight professionally where he won six of his 8 professional bouts by KO, resulting in an overall record of 13 fights, 11 wins, 2 losses.

Leigh has trained under many former Muay Thai world champions and Bangkok stadium champions. He has trained alongside and sparred with many Muay Thai and mixed martial arts legends such as Saenchai, Jomhod Kiatadisak, Namphon PK gym, Georges St.Pierre and Frankie Edgar.

He enjoys introducing people to martial arts and helping them achieve their fitness goals. Leigh prides himself on teaching and demonstrating proper technique and ensuring a safe and fun learning environment.
