Since 2016, Bayside Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been helping people of all ages and abilities discover the benefits of BJJ in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment.
Located in Mordialloc, our academy welcomes everyone — from complete beginners to experienced grapplers. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, learn practical self-defence, compete or simply enjoy training, there's a place for you on our mats.
With over 210 square metres of matted training space, we have plenty of room to learn, challenge yourself and develop your skills.
Our academy is led by founder and head instructor Peter Polygenis, a 4th Degree BJJ Black Belt with 30 years of experience. We combine experienced, technical instruction with a personal approach to coaching, helping every student progress at their own pace in a supportive, ego-free environment.
We're proud of what our students have achieved on the competition mats. Since opening in 2016, Bayside BJJ has recorded an impressive 825 competition medals on Smoothcomp, reflecting the dedication, hard work and progress of our students across kids' and adult divisions.
While we're proud of our competition success, winning medals isn't what defines our club. Whether your goal is to compete, improve your fitness, learn self-defence or simply enjoy Jiu-Jitsu, you'll find the same encouragement, support and quality coaching at Bayside BJJ.
And there's more to Bayside BJJ than just the mats. Our upstairs members' lounge offers a comfortable place for students and families to relax, catch up and enjoy a game of pool or table tennis. It's all part of the friendly, community-focused atmosphere that makes Bayside BJJ a great place to train.
